Error Messages on Screen

Error messages appearing on screen at start up can be indicative of a number of things such as a faulty component or a virus.

However, it can also be something as straightforward as the onboard battery that saves all the PC or laptop settings.

On the motherboard of a laptop or PC there is a 'watch battery' that is used to store all settings when the power supply is disconnected. As with all non-rechargeable batteries these lose charge over time and die, but can be replaced.

When replacing the onboard battery be careful not to drop it on any other component.

If this doesn't fix the problem we would advise calling in a qualified, experienced PC engineer to diagnose and fix the problem.
