Invalid System Disc Message
When the Invalid System Disc message appears on your screen after switching on the pc or notebook, it means that the computer is unable to load its normal operating system (XP, Windows 98, etc).
Firstly, check you haven't left a floppy disc in the drive. If you have, eject it and then reboot the pc by holding the power switch in until it switches off. Press the power button again until it powers up and now should load normally.
If you haven't left a floppy disc in the pc it is likely that your hard drive has gone. Your hard drive is where all your system files, operating system and personal data is stored.
If this is the case call a qualified, experienced computer engineer in to diagnose and advise. Very often they will be able to recover the data or will be in touch with people who can. They will also be able to supply a new hard drive and reload the operating system and programs as long as you have the original discs.
